- Apply if you are living in an EU country, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein with a British citizen
- Apply if you’re joining a person from Northern Ireland who was resident in the UK by 31 December 2021
- Apply if you used to be a family member of someone from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, or Liechtenstein and you have ‘retained the right of residence’.
