Traveling Document
This is any document issued by the government of your country that allows you to travel. Usually, IRCC accepts International Passports from any country that will not expire within the next four months. You can also include other ID documents like a driver’s license or National ID Card.
Passport Photograph
You need to also submit a clear photograph of your face showing your eyes and ears. IRCC has a recommended dimension for the passport photograph document. According to IRCC, the photo must measure 50 mm X 70 mm in size (2 inches wide X 23/4 inches long). See the full IRCC photo guidelines here.
Proof of Home Ties
This is a document that shows the ties or relationship with your home country. According to Canada Immigration policy, a Study permit can not be used as a permanent immigration process. So, the Canadian government expects you to go back to your home country after you finish your study in Canada.
The proof of home ties document is how you prove to the IRCC/Canada Visa officer that you have reasons to come back to your country. This is very important because your Canada Study Permit will be declined if you don’t have this document.
