Documents Required from International Students at a Canadian Airport to Get Study Permit

Documents Required from International Students at a Canadian Airport: Getting your port of entry letter from IRCC (Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada) is a big step towards getting your Canada study permit, but that’s not all. In fact, in the port of entry letter, it is clearly written that you should bring the letter along with you to Canada. Why? well here is why.

The port of entry letter is a pre-approval letter and the final study permit will be issued to you when you arrive in Canada. The port of entry letter will tell the visa officer you’ll meet at the international airport in Canada that you pre-qualify to get a study permit. However, the visa officer you’ll meet in Canada will also have access to determine if you’re truly eligible for the permit.
